Calico Wildlife & Photo Guidesスタート！

2026年3月。今年ご予約分の野生動物ガイドが一段落した3月。いよいよフライフィッシングのガイドがスタートする3月。久々にいじったワードプレスやサーバーパネルに心を折られながらも、、、(こんなに難しかったっけ…)ようやく「公開」ボタンを押すことができました。

3月は北海道・十勝もいよいよ長い冬から春に向かって加速していきます。真冬の行動パターンだった野生動物たちは人間以上に敏感に春を感じているようで、、、とある巣穴では一晩でモモンガたちの行動パターンがガラリと変化してしまいました。ガイドしてるとヒヤヒヤ、ヒリヒリな毎日でしたが…それもまた自然の”ありのまま”の姿なのです。その一瞬に立ち会えたことがなんとなく嬉しかったです。

動物たちのこと、鳥たちのこと、樹木のこと、カメラのこと。まだまだ勉強中ではありますが、ガイドを通してゲストの皆さまと北海道の自然に成長させていただけたら幸いです。

March 2026. With this year’s wildlife guide bookings settled, March marks the official start of the fly fishing guide season. After wrestling with WordPress and server settings that almost broke my spirit—(was it always this complicated?!)—I’ve finally hit the “Publish” button.

In March, spring accelerates here in Tokachi, Hokkaido, shaking off the long winter. The local wildlife feels this seasonal shift far faster than we do; at one particular den, the Siberian flying squirrels completely transformed their routine overnight. Guiding through these unpredictable moments keeps me on edge, but that’s nature in its purest form—and being there to witness it is a genuine thrill.

From animals and birds to trees and photography, I’m still constantly learning. My goal is to keep growing alongside Hokkaido’s rich nature and the guests I have the privilege to guide.
